Circulating around Super Bowl 52 and the Olympics are commercials relating to amputees, robots and artificial intelligence. Prosthetic limbs are used to sell the advancement of more advanced forms of technology such as artificial intelligence. Toyota ran commercials during the Super Bowl, as did Sprint and Amazon, promoting AI and the seemingly useless nature of humanity without such technology. Humans were depicted as stupid and useless, with the solution being technology in all of its digital and mechanical forms. Sever Super Bowl commercials depicted barren landscapes and along with the association of symbols depicted a world destroyed by mankind. The moon was in leo during the event, and the Philadelphia Eagles won the game; these two symbols culminate in the Griffin, a symbol of revenge and avenge. It seems that the avenging of the earth for humanity’s destructive practices is the replacement of man with machine, something actually depicted in a video by halftime perform Justin Timberlake in a song called “filthy” where he was replaced as a human by a robot. Instead of changing lifestyle and taking responsibility for our actions, so many are willing to hand over sovereign thought and action to machines that are poised to command every thought and action.
Much of the symbolism at the Super Bowl 52 halftime show was focused on the worship of Saturn-themed subjects, from hexagons to Justin Timberlakes album “Man of the Woods” where Justin was essentially the goat-god Pan. The astrological house of Saturn is Capricorn, the goat. Saturn, often depicted as a devil, is partly represented with Pan on the tarot card where he sits on a black cube. This symbolism is also related to the movie Lucy, where through technological infusion, she becomes a black goo computer.
