Host Ryan Gable will be discussing Kanye West, his political comments at a concert that eventually lead to cancelling his entire tour and being hospitalized for a ‘psychiatric emergency after a 911 call from his doctor. When leaving the hospital he remerged with blond hair, reminiscent of Eminem’s alter ego, Slim Shady.

After his tour was cancelled, he gave an interview where he compared himself to the movie character Rain Man. The significance of this is startling when you investigate notions of mind control, multiple personalities, and even selling ones soul to a demon for fame. Songs from the music industry are loaded with references to this same character, acting as both one who has the ability to make money fall in a club or a shadow figure able to grant wealth, sex and power. Of course selling your soul for fame can be referred to as being in control of a record company or to an intangible concept, but it seems the actions of some of these celebrities border on multiple personalities and some form of identity issue, typically associated with more than just overwhelming fame and fortune. These psychological break-downs are seen in many of the famous, but those in music or Hollywood seem to be the greatest. When have you seen a world leader or CEO have this type of identity crisis in public?
